First Generation Student Support
If you're the first in your family to go to »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ, or your parents did not graduate from »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ, you are considered a first-generation student. The »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ is proud that many first-generation students have chosen to attend our institution.

First-Gen Tommies
First-Gen Tommies (formerly Proud To Be First) is a voluntary and free program for students who identify as first-generation. St. Thomas defines first-generation as a student whose parent/guardian did not receive a 4-year degree in the United States. We have fun and informative events throughout the year and we'd love to see you there.
First-Gen Forward
First-Gen Tommies is one of the programs that helped St. Thomas be recognized as a First-Gen Forward institution through NASPA. This designation recognizes institutions of higher education who have demonstrated a commitment to improving experiences and advancing outcomes for first-generation »Æ¹ÏÊÓƵ students.
